Who we are
This website and its journals are operated by e-International Publishing House Ltd ("e-IPH", "we", "us"), a company registered in England & Wales, Company No. 10062603, registered address 18 WestPoint, 58 West Street, Sheffield, S1 4EZ, United Kingdom. e-IPH is the "data controller" for personal data collected through this site, unless stated otherwise on a specific journal's own site.
What data we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect: your name and email address (contact form, manuscript submission, newsletter sign-up); institutional affiliation and ORCID (author/reviewer/editor records); IP address and browser information (standard web server logs); and cookies (see Cookies section below).
Why we collect it, and our legal basis
We process this data to: respond to enquiries and correspondence (legitimate interest); manage manuscript submission, peer review, and publication (performance of a contract / legitimate interest in operating the journal); maintain the security and functioning of this website (legitimate interest); and comply with legal obligations where applicable (legal obligation). We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
We use third-party services to operate this site and our journals, each of which processes data on our behalf under their own data processing terms: our web hosting provider; Contact Form 7 and our email delivery service (contact form submissions); Crossref (DOI registration — author names and affiliations are included in DOI metadata by design, as this is standard scholarly publishing practice); and Open Journal Systems (OJS), which manages submissions, peer review, and publication records on each journal's own site.
How long we keep it
Contact form enquiries are retained for as long as needed to resolve the enquiry, and then deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period. Author, reviewer, and editorial records are retained for as long as the associated journal is active, and thereafter as required to preserve the scholarly record (e.g. author names on a published article are a permanent part of that publication and cannot be deleted, consistent with standard academic publishing practice).
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data (subject to the publishing-record exception above); object to or restrict certain processing; and request a copy of your data in a portable format. Complaints
If you believe we have not handled your personal data properly, you have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.
Cookies & third-party requests
All typefaces used on this site are self-hosted — your browser does not make a request to Google or any other third party just to load them, and no IP address is shared with Google Fonts as a result. This site may use cookies for essential functionality. A full cookie consent mechanism is being implemented; this policy will be updated once it is in place.
